Its a symptom of Negative Body Image. It’s accompanied by thinking derogatory comments about your body and constant comparing to others. Negative body image affects self-esteem, relationship with food and others, and it should be addressed. It is also often related to depression and anxiety. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is often used to recognize irrational thoughts, analyze and restructure them into more rational self talk.

  • Focus on the body parts you do like about yourself
  • Say positive things to yourself every day
  • Avoid comparing
